Introduction

RugCheck is a service that provides a risk score for tokens on Solana, with a focus on memecoins.

The risk score is calculated from many different data sources. For transparency, a full report is available that breaks down key risks, and provides an overview of the token.

Rugcheck has no token of its own, applies the same algorithm to all tokens, and is free to use.

This documentation will cover the different Rugcheck API endpoints, as well as how to use them and interpret the response. However, if you'd like to jump right in, you can access the Swagger docs.

Both free and paid APIs are available. The paid API has some benefits:

1. To deal with request volume, the free API needs to cache token reports. On the paid API you can request a fresh report at any time.

2. The paid API supports a websocket connection to stream token reports, for people who need the freshest possible data.

3. The paid API allows more requests per second.
